The Third Meal Project

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the need to transition from a physical restaurant space into a system that is more conducive to meeting the needs of our community, The EAT Initiative, Inc. created a food donation program called “The Third Meal” where we provide grab and go dinner meals, groceries, at The Energy Innovation Center. This food resolution concept is brought to you by a community of organizations including but not limited to: The Pittsburgh Gateways Corporation and local neighborhood organizations.
We pledge to stand with our community and serve as we face the challenges and inconveniences that the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic has presented, and we will continue to be a resource to our community while supplies last. Our team is closely following the advice from the Allegheny County Department of Human Services and the City of Pittsburgh and will continue to provide updates as information becomes available. We will increase the frequency of cleaning and sanitizing throughout the facilities and take recommended extra precautions to prevent the spread of any communicable disease.
